A great time for a great cause! Golden Circle Special Needs Association presents the Big T Memorial Cookoff annually to raise funds for area schools and various special needs programs. Thanks to the generosity of our cook teams and sponsors, these much-needed funds have been used for life skills classes and to further the mission of special needs camps and programs in our local five-county area. Our event includes a State Championship cookoff, Kid's Cookoff Challenge, Disc Golf Challenge, live music, raffles and silent auction, 42 Tournament, vendors, and our popular Touch-A-Truck event. The 2024 Big T Memorial BBQ Cook-Off is a State Championship IBCA-sanctioned event. Prizes and cash payout will be offered for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the 3 main categories, and special prizes will be awarded to the Reserve Champion and Grand Champion. There will be payouts in places 1-10 in each of the 3 main categories. There is also a special cash prize for Freestone County's Top Pit Boss (the highest score overall from Freestone County). Jackpot winners will be announced for the Salsa, Dessert, Beans, and Cook's Choice categories, with a cash payout (80% payback) to 1st place in each jackpot category.
